Passionate about form with function, Amina began her career in 2004 as an automotive designer at Chrysler, penning the 2008 Dodge Magnum. There, she worked directly for Ralph Gilles and Tim Anness on numerous pre-production and concept exterior/interior studies, including a skunkworks Project D. She also had the opportunity to be the only designer embedded with Chrysler's strategy team.
Following Chrysler, Amina worked at the prestigious frog design studio in San Francisco under leadership of Denise Gershbein, Michael DiTullo, Howard Nuk, and Paul Bradley. At frog, she designed products for many notable clients such as Nike Foundation, Cisco, Motorola, Moving Comfort/Brooks and Landscape Forms. Later, she had the honor of working with Casper Asmussen on the Aether Cone. She is currently designing products with Yves Béhar and the crew at fuseproject in San Francisco.
Amina has degrees from College for Creative Studies (BFA) and California College of the Arts (MBA), and is also the author of BREAKING IN® Product Design book.
